April 2020 Special: Matt & Lauren are back, continuing their exploration of the Mr. Men Doctor Who series, with a review of “Dr. Twelfth” by Adam Hargreaves.  Dr. Twelfth is available in both paperback and kindle versions, wherever fine books are sold.  This adventure has also been animated, with narration by Michelle Gomez, and can be found in its entirety here.  Happy First of April!

March 2020 Special: Chris & Matt welcome Graeme Burk & Robert Smith? back to the book club to discuss their forthcoming work, “Who is the Doctor 2: The Unofficial Guide to Doctor Who The Modern Series” which comes out on March 17th.

Who Is The Doctor 2 will be available at many different online retailers and physical bookshops and can also be ordered online at ECW Press. 

ECW also provides an e-book version for free if you show them proof of purchase of a physical copy.

January 2020 Book Club: Chris & Matt welcome in a new decade & continue their mini-adventure through various spin-off ranges.  This month, we’re reading the mind & space bending “Dead Romance” by Lawrence Miles, which is both a Bernice Summerfield & Faction Paradox novel (set in London 1970) and first published in March 1999.  While the original book is long out of print, there is a Kindle version available for purchase, courtesy of Mad Norwegian Press, which features three bonus short stories.

October 2019 Book Club: Matt & Chris are in for a science fiction double feature as they journey with the Second Doctor from China to San Francisco, by way of Kent, for a pair of adventures from the Telos Novella range.  This month, we’re reviewing “Foreign Devils” by Andrew Cartmel, published in November 2002 - and “Wonderland” by Mark Chadbourn from April 2003.  While the novellas are long out of print, several Doctor Who-related works from Telos Publishing can still be ordered at https://telos.co.uk

May 2019 Book Club: It’s fancy dress as Chris & Matt put on their togas and head back to ancient Rome to review “The Stone Rose” by Jacqueline Rayner.  First published in April 2006, it was republished in 2015 as part of the History Collection and is still widely available in shops & on digital formats.  There’s also an abridged audio recording on iTunes, Audible, CD, etc. which is read by David Tennant.

April 2019 Book Club: Matt & Chris are in for a bumpy ride as we navigate a whirlwind of eighteen short stories that make up the collection “More Short Trips.” This anthology was published in March 1999 and edited by Stephen Cole.  Once available wherever fine books were sold, it can now be found on the second-hand market.  Audio versions of two of the stories can be found on the “Tales from the TARDIS” collections, which are available on iTunes, Audible, CD, etc.
